Cancellations

If at any point the school cancels classes on a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday because of weather, etc., check this webpage for the adjusted calendar. As soon as the instructor figures out the change, she will post an announcement on the front page; a revised calendar will soon follow.

If UMW is holding classes but getting here is dangerous for you, do not risk your life for a class. Simply inform the instructor of your situation.

Reminders about Discussions

Do not ignore the syllabus:

Failure to complete any requirement (including speaking in discussions and submitting evaluations) means failing the course.

Also note:

The discussion evaluation is a ONE-page exercise. Adjust spacing if necessary, but submit ONE page. Evaluations that run over into a second page–even if it is only a matter of spacing between sections–will not be read/credited.

Also, proofread. Eliminate the careless typos and the ungrammatical sentences.

Tracking Forms –finding and submitting

Tracking forms are under Assignments . . . Discussion . . . Tracking Forms . . . and relevant week . Please see course syllabus for instructions on submitting your evaluation (by e-mail). If you do not use the evaluation form (and fill it out as indicated) and if you do not submit evaluations as instructed (in the course syllabus), your evaluation will not be accepted, read, reviewed, or credited (as clearly stated in the syllabus).

Accepted evaluations will be returned by the end of the weekend; if you do not receive your evaluation with comments, it was submitted 1) incorrectly or 2) late. If you do not believe that your evaluation suffered from either problem, please contact the instructor for clarification.
