Please keep contributions to discussions as focused on the assigned readings and films as possible. While additional information is sometimes necessary and appreciated, it can sidetrack the course into nitty-gritty details that redirect the course from its objective of introducing students to major issues, questions, and threads. The assigned readings and films were chosen because they are sufficient for course objectives, although (as just noted) brief occasional additions can be quite useful.
