Film: The Indian Wars

This film runs about 3 hours and 40 minutes. It begins with a  fairly useful overview/background that covers Native Americans’ early history–i.e., even before the arrival of Europeans and horses . . . and then before the movement of Americans into the Great Plains. The film looks at each major group, e.g., Sioux and Cheyenne, and at such issues as hunting, housing, and religion.  At about 38:30, it moves into the Indian wars.
